It’s October 31st in Salem, Massachusetts, and a town’s eccentric, devoted community volunteer and the good-natured object of his fellow citizen’s derision and meanest pranks, finds himself in the midst of a real investigation, for a real murderer.
If you go into this movie knowing what it is you’ll enjoy it. It’s a feel good, goofy Adam Sandler movie. It sticks to the old formula of previous Adam Sandler movies where his character is a likeable, goofy guy who finds himself in the middle of funny problems. Along the way you meet some other zany characters and the mayhem ensues. The supporting cast are full of well known actors and the story is pretty funny and as I love Halloween this hit a lot of the right spots for me.
This isn’t going to get Adam Sandler any praise like his role in Uncut Gems and it’s nothing original either, but it works for what the movie is. For some reason the voice he uses for Hubie is really weird. I get what he was trying to do with it, but it would have been better without the voice, so you could actually understand what he was saying.
Hubie Halloween is a feel good, goofy and funny movie perfect for any Adam Sandler fan.
