Mike Diamond and Adam Horovitz of Beastie Boys tell you an intimate, personal story of their band, and their 40 years of friendship together.
I really enjoyed this documentary movie on the story of the Beastie Boys. It shows loads of old footage from music videos, interviews and gigs. It’s also filmed in a theatre in New York where Michael “Mike D” Diamond, and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz talk about their time in the Beastie Boys and Adam “MCA” Yauch who is no longer with us. They tell some funny stories and memories of the their time together.
I read a review where someone was complaining about it being two old guys talking about music from 30 years ago. Well isn’t that the point of the documentary, it’s about their story and their music, if you’re not a fan then this isn’t really for you. I like the fact they made this their way, just like they did with their music.
Great, funny and touching movie about a band I love. If you’re a fan of them then you’re going to love this.
